To a very minor degree I was involved with this community garden soon after its birth. I remember a cracking (and crackling!) bonfire party there around 1985. We nearly started the second Great Fire of London! It's a lovely little haven and sits well with the surrounding architecture. You'd never guess when in it that you were only 100 yards or so from Charing X Road, Shaftesbury Avenue, Oxford Street, Covent Gdn and Soho! But just in case you should eulogise too much, the IRA Flitcroft Street bomb exploded right behind those trees during the London bombing campaign (missed me by 10 minutes!) and a young local boy was stabbed to death in the kids' playground behind St Giles's Church (background centre) a few short years ago. Also, after a savage attack in Covent Garden, the two fleeing assailants disposed of their axe by tossing it into the garden as they ran past. So relax, enjoy - but don't close both eyes at the same time!

I think the built landscape and open areas can work together to provide an attractive environment, this picture shows that perfectly.

Looks a beautiful picturesque place. Like in BSE (Suffolk), is there any chance that there is then an awful road running behind the shrubbery?

Its between seven dials and tottenham crt rd on the back streets. Just behind the odeon cinema. Top left of the picture is center point house.

yeah, it looks pretty...there's nowhere near enough parks, especially in cities.

This park looks like a really nice park. Especially with the atmospheric buildings in the background.

This park seems nice. Where abouts is it in the country. I think that public gardens should be a something we keep but near me there are only 2 public gardens/ parks left and that is poor considering the population and size of the parks
